Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta has asserted that all graduating students of the various tertiary institutions should develop ways of becoming entrepreneurs after completion.
This minister explained that this will decrease the unemployment rate in the country and also reduce the burden on government’s payroll.
Mr. Ofori Atta revealed that 60% of Ghana’s revenue is spent every month on the payment of salaries of public sector workers, he said this at the graduation ceremony at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
However, he urged graduating students that “…You have the skills set to be able to do what you have to do. Our responsibility as a government is to create the environment and the macro stability, currency stability and ensure that you have access to the relevant skills and financing.”
