Students of the University of Cape Coast have expressed their displeasure in the eventual increase in rent by hostel managers.
The student body has taken over social media with #DropTheHostelPrices as a call on the various stakeholders to address their concerns of hostel fees increment
According to the students, their previous rents see a 40%-60% increment, which even exceeds their school fees.
Others have even opted to vacate their hostels without any assurance of getting a place with less rent cost.

Meanwhile, the subject remains the same in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) where students have also called on management iintervene.
