National Chief Imam calls for harmony among religious denominations

The National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu has called on all the religious denominations in Ghana to calm their nerves to prevent tensions between them.

He said this in his Eid-Mubarak message to all Muslims, referring to the Muslims who were prevented from taking part in the fasting at Wesley Girls Senior High School.

Sheikh Dr. Osman Sharubutu urged all stakeholders involved to allow leadership to lead to settling this issue.

Meanwhile, he told all the Muslim youth to avoid any activity that will disturb the celebration of the Eid-Fitr.

However, he advised all Imams to be conscious of the level of the tone of the sermons they preach.

The National Chief Imam encouraged all to obey the COVID-19 protocols as laid down by the government.
