University of Ghana: Young man who fell from 4th floor was avoiding ejection – Police

The police has established after investigations that the young man who fell from the 4th floor of the Mensah Sarbah Hall Annex “A” of the University of Ghana last week slipped when he tried to jump from one balcony to another.

According to the police, the victim, Fuseini Wahab Abdul, is a former student of the university who is currently undertaking his national service on campus.

Reports stated that Wahab was still perching a student he shared the same room with when he was a student.

The Police in an interview with Graphic Online revealed that the victim was reportedly given a hint that authorities would be undertaking an exercise to eject illegal residents from the halls.

Following the hint, the victim decided to jump from one balcony to the other to hide from the authorities only to have slipped and fallen from the fourth floor.

Wahab Abdul remains unconscious at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital.
