Kwabenya District won’t be LGBT meeting ground; we’ll burn down any property that hosts gays – Chiefs threaten

The Kwabenya Traditional Council in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region has joined the fight against homosexuality in Ghana with a stern warning against the practice within the Kwabenya District.

Members of the council have emphatically stated that, no community under their jurisdiction would be used for meeting grounds for the LGBT fraternity.

Topstories is reliably informed that the Traditional Council has threatened to burn down a building in which Ghanaian Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender recently hosted one of their meetings.

According to the traditional leaders who are unhappy with the activities of LGBTQ community, the said property is located at Ashongman, a community within the Kwabenya District.

The chiefs disclosed that an investigation has been launched to locate the exact house and the owner of the property.

Kwabenya Musuku Manhene, Nii Mensah Dza Nyomo I who doubles as the Public Relations Officer of the Kwabenya Traditional Council who said the council will not hesitate to set the premises ablaze after their investigations.

“We won’t sit down for Kwabenya to gain a bad name that the LGBT meeting grounds or office is located in Kwabenya Ashongman. No way!” Nii Mensah Dza Nyomo I fumed as he addressed a press conference organized by the kwabenya traditional council.
